Image options
You can set the screen image quality levels according to your preferences on speed or image quality
1).Color Depth
You can select "Auto","Full",256,64,8,4,2,etc. The less of colors, the image quality will be poorer, but the speed will be faster, and the remote operations will be more smooth.
"Auto": The colors will be adjusted automatically by the LookMyPC according to how much the bandwidth is available, the less bandwidth would have less color, and higher bandwidth would have more colors.
"Full": Full color
"256": 256 colors
"64" : 64 colors
"8" : 8 colors
"4" : 4 gray levels
"2" : only black and white color
2).Compression Level
The default is 6, it will work for most cases. But if the network bandwidth is very low, you can select 9. Higher compression will consume more cpu power, and the speed will be slower.
3).Use Cache II
Recommended to set this option, it will cache windows data, and reduce the data that will be transfered.
4).Zoom
The pecentage of zoom level can be set with this option.
Security options
1).Share the clipboard
When set this option, you will allow the remote supporter to copy/paste between your machine and the supporter's machine.
2).File transfer
i).Enable file transfer
When set this option, you will allow the remote supporter to send/receive/remove files/folders between your machine and the supporter's machine.
ii).File transfer after confirmation
When set this option, each time when the remote supporter perform file transfer operation, it will ask your confirmation to allow that specific operation. Please note, if your don't answer it in a preset period of time, it will be allowed in default.
All the file operations will be logged and displayed on the log window in real time, and the log is saved to the disk , named as filetransfer.log
3).Security
i).View only
Only allow the peer side to view your screen, but can not use mouse/keyboard to control your machine.
ii).Enable black screen and lock keyboard
Allow the peer side black your screen and lock your keyboard, you will see your screen turned in black color when the peer side performs operation. It is set in default.
