3. We have proxy for internet connections in our company, does LookMyPC viewer support it? Answer: Yes. LookMyPC Viewer Support Http Proxy and automatic proxy script configuration since 2.1.2 version. In 2.1.3 version , the support to Socks4/5 proxy is added.

9. Is the PC ID of LookMyPC viewer unique and secure? Answer: Yes. The ID is dispatched from the server system based on the unique PC information, and encrypted during when communicated.

10. Is the Password of LookMyPC viewer secure ? Answer: The password is generated and changed randomly every time you start the LookMyPC Viewer program. You have to tell the remote party your password for him/her remote control your PC. It is encrypted with the other data when communicated or stored.

11. Compared with PCAnywhere, VNc, Remote Desktop Assistance, Any differences between your LookMyPC and them? Answer: When you use PCAnywhere, Vnc or Remote Desktop Assisstance to perform remote control, the remote peer should have a accessible IP address, the IP address should be pinged successfully from your PC. If it is within firewall/Router, usually a port mapping should be set on the firewall/router. For LookMyPC, even you need not to know the peer IP, and no changes required on the peer firewall/router.

12. How do set options? Answer: The viewer side can set [Image options], [Mouse options], The controlled/agent side can set [security options], both side can set options mentioned previously. Please click Tutorial page to find more information on options setting.

13. Why my options setting have not been saved? Answer: When you set the options by clicking the options button on the viewer window, it will only be in effect for the current remote session. If you want set and save options globally, please click the options menu item on the main window.

14. What's the main functions of LookMyPC? Answer: t can be used for remote control / support / service / assistance, and share your desktop to the peers over the internet. Also it has the functionalities of file transfer and text chating.

16. The connection will be breaked when user logout and the system get into screen saving mode, can I prevent this to happen? Answer: The solution: Please select 'Start as service' in the Options->Others windows on the peer side LookMyPC, then startup the LookMyPC service manually or reboot the peer PC.

17. What's the benefit when one select 'Start as service' option? Answer: If you selected this option and reboot your PC, it'll allow remote supporter to control your PC even when your windows is in logout mode, or in screen saving mode.

18. How many operating system does LookMyPC support? Answer: windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista .

19. What's the basic workflow to control the remote PC? Answer: 1.You and your remote friend should run LookMyPC first
2.Your firend should tell your his/her Local ID and password appear on the main window of LookMyPC on his/her PC
3.You enter the ID and password for the remote PC on the main window of your LookMyPC, click 'Support remote PC' radio box, click the Connnect button
4.You'll enjoy the remote control now


20. The starter license will let me use lookmypc for 100 minutes of free connection per month, this is not enough for me. How do upgrade it for more connection minutes per month ? since I use it for my daily supporting business? Answer: You can go to our web site , click Buy page, select the license and purchase it. When you get the license, click license button on the menu of main window, and entry the license code , click the 'upgrade license' button. When finished, you'll see the new connection minutes balance message on the footer area of the main window of LookMyPC.

21. Where can I find my connection minutes balance of the current month? Answer: Start LookMyPC, after it connect to the server, in the footer area of the main window of LookMyPC, you will see the message of the balance of connection minutes for your current month.

22. How to set the password manually ? but not generate it automatically by the application? Answer: Click the Options button on the main menu, click Other option, entry your pre-set passwords here.

23. How to change the pre-set password to the automatically generated passwords? Answer: Click the Options button on the main menu, click Other option, clear your pre-set passwords here, then LookMyPC will generate the password automatically for you.

24. Which peer will be charged for the connection minutes after a remote control session? Answer: Only the peer who click the connect button, i.e. the peer who initiate the remote connection session. The other peer will not be charged.
